Tanzania is named after the name of mainland, Tanganyika and the eastern island government Zanzibar. The Zanzibar government consists of Unguja a.k.a. Zanzibar archipelago and Pemba islands. Unguja is famous for the Colobus monkey living in the Zanzibar gulf and the beautiful beach. Three sides of Tanzania except the eastern coastal area that borders the Indian Ocean are close to different lakes. There is Africa's largest lake, Victoria in the north, Africa's deepest lake, Tanganyika in the west and Lake Malawi or Lake Nyasa on the south. The highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro also covers the northeastern part of Tanzania. Serengeti National Park, which is synonymous with African animals and Ngorongoro National Park are also located in northwest Tanzania. Serengeti National Park is very famous across the world for the diverse animals living in the endless plain. Ngorongoro National Park is the largest crater due to the crustal movement of a mountain as big as Kilimanjaro and a habitat for diverse fauna and flora of Africa.
