The Tunisia is located in the northernmost of Africa and bounded on the Mediterranean. The 40 % of the territory is occupied with the Sahara that is the biggest dessert in the world. There is the Sahara international festival every year in the Douz called, “Gateway to the Sahara”. This festival holds for 4 days between November and December. There are a lot of events such as traditional music, dance, and camel fight. There is the National Museum of Bardo that ranks with the Louvre of the France in Tunis. This museum is reconstructed from an old palace. It is proud of the biggest mosaic collection of the Rome age. The Carthage away from Tunis about 15km (9miles) is the hometown of a famous general, Hannibal who faces the Roman Empire. UNESCO appoints it as the World Cultural Heritage in 1979. A state religion is the Islam. The 99% of people are the Sunni Muslim. Most people are Arab and speak the Arabic, but they use French widely in business. This country has high interest about education. It is free education from the elementary school to the University.
