Ecuador is one of the countries where people traveling South America want to visit the most. With the Amazon Jungle and many active volcanoes, the country is filled with curious animals and plants. Places such as Sangay National Park, Historic Center of Cuenca and Quito Old City were all appointed as UNESCO’s World Heritage, making the country rich with spectacles. Ecuador also has the globally famous island, ‘Vilcabamba’ where people enjoy long life. Vilcabamba was introduced to the world by National Geographic and Reader’s Digest as an island of immunity without any diseases. In this village, even people over eighty are considered young. Formed with 13 volcanic islands and 6 small islands, Vilcabamba is located about 1,000km west of South America. Meanwhile, Galapagos Islands of Ecuador is often called the ‘Nature’s best gift towards mankind.’ Alienated from the outside world for a very long time, Galapagos preserves a unique and rare ecosystem. Galapagos was introduced to the world by the English biologist Charles Darwin, who came to the islands in 1835 to study ‘The Origin of Species.’ In 1959, the Ecuadorian government appointed 97% of Galapagos’ area as a national park.
