Grenada is located in the southernmost of Windward Islands, Caribbean Sea. Known to be the ‘Isle of Spice,’ Grenada is the major producing center of various spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, dried clove buds, vanilla, etc. The image of nutmeg is even printed on the national flag of Grenada. Thanks to the country’s untamed natural scenery, tourism industry is also huge in Grenada. Especially, Grand Anse Beach of Grenada is famous around the world for its clear water and long sandy beach. Grand Etang Lake located in the crater of a dormant volcano is also a famous eco-tourist spot visited by many tourists. Around the lake is a rainforest region where various animals and plants live in. Another spot loved by tourists is River Antoine Rum Distillery, which is producing rum since 1785. The greatest festival in Grenada is a carnival held in the capital Saint Georges every August. Even overseas Grenadians come to this carnival to experience the grand reunion of Grenadian people. During the carnival, various events such as the Calypso Competition and Steel Band Parade take place.
