Ho Chi Minh (1890~1969) is one of the most respected leaders in Vietnam since he won the national independence from France. His portrait is on all Vietnamese paper money, and Ho Chi Minh City is named after him. Ho Chi Minh encouraged his people to build today’s three-story French buildings. He advised his people to use the first floor as a store or a commercial area and the other floors as their living space so that most Vietnamese could get economic independence. Vietnam is one of the fast-developing countries in the 21st century. As of 2006, the GDP growth rate raked second following that of China, and most baby boomers are in their prime working ages. The traditional “Water Puppets”, a fairy story of Vietnamese lives, is popular in many countries.
