Hungary is an Eastern European country well known for having more than 1,000 hot springs and the Balaton Lake. One of these hot springs is Heviz Spa, a natural lake famous for hot spring water filling up the entire lake. Also known to have remedial effects on rheumatisms and neural diseases, Heviz Spa is very popular among tourists. The Balaton Lake is the largest lake in Central Europe. It is a popular resort where people can enjoy swimming, water skiing and windsurfing during the summer, while skating and ice fishing during the winter. The Capital Budapest was originally divided into Buda and Pest by the Danube River. However, in 1872, the two regions were combined. The Szechenyi Chain Bridge connecting these two regions contributes to creating the beautiful night scene of Hungary, praised as one of the bests in Europe along with Prague of Czech and Paris of France. Budapest is also filled with historical buildings that survived from the World War II. These buildings include the Royal Palace of Buda, the St. Stephen’s Basilica, etc. Tokaj wine is produced in Tokaj area located about 200km (125miles) from Budapest. The French King, Louis XIV praised the wine as the “Wine of Kings, and the King of Wines.” Kings of Germany and the Czars of Russia also enjoyed this high-quality wine. Due to its sweet taste, it is enjoyed as a dessert wine today.
