The Solomon Islands is a nation in Melanesia, east of Papua New Guinea, consisting of nearly one thousand islands. These islands are included into 9 provinces that have their own unique beauty. Its capital is located in the largest island of Guadalcanal. Most islands are volcanic ones, surrounded by gorgeous coral reefs. In particular, the eastern-most ‘East Rennell’ is the world most beautiful coral reef island and was designated as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1998.
